Now this is news that disturbs me, because all it does it reminds me how old I’m getting.
You’re Stewed Buttwad!
I absolutely LOVED Bill Paxton. Not for his Emmy award winning roles but more so for my favorite character he play where I was first introduced to him. The abusive and somewhat dim witted older brother, Chet, in the movie Weird Science. Here, just take a look at this gem of Paxton from my favorite scene…
Apparently the actor died due to complications from surgery. What kind of surgery no one knows at this point. Hopefully not a pointless one like facelift or some other BS like that. I’ sure more details will come out over time but, sadly Bill has passed at 61 years of age. Quite honestly I didn’t realize that Bill was that old.
The Official Announcement
A family representative made the official statement saying “It is with heavy hearts we share the news that Bill Paxton has passed away due to complications from surgery. A loving husband and father, Bill began his career in Hollywood working on films in the art department and went on to have an illustrious career spanning four decades as a beloved and prolific actor and filmmaker. Bill’s passion for the arts was felt by all who knew him, and his warmth and tireless energy were undeniable. We ask to please respect the family’s wish for privacy as they mourn the loss of their adored husband and father.”
Paxton began acting in the 1970s. As I mentioned earlier, I was first introduced to him with Weird Science. He went on to win an Emmy for his work in the TV mini-series Hatfields and McCoys. You may also remember him in some of top blockbuster movies like, Terminator, Aliens and Twister.
