DaDa’s of Delray Florida

DaDa’s of Delray Florida

Every so often I like to share some of my travel experiences. Especially if I come across anything I find interesting. Well, I just returned from a business trip to Delray Beach Florida.  During my short two day visit, I came across a restaurant called DaDa’s that I just needed to tell everyone about.

Delray Gem

WOW!  This place is absolutely amazing.  It’s definitely a must-experience if you’re visiting Delray. Now, I’m not getting paid to say this.  This is honestly coming straight from the heart as a review of a terrific dining experience that I highly recommend. DaDa’s is perfect for any occasion, a real gem. Celebrating an event, taking someone on a date or, like I did, just having an enjoyable yet casual meal with a colleague, you simply can not go wrong.

The atmosphere is incredible with an artsy but relaxed down home feel.  That’s probably because it is quite literally a house converted into a restaurant. Tables are located on the front lawn, as well as in the house itself.  The evening I went, the place was completely packed. Apparently a wait is a pretty common thing, so I would recommend making reservations.

I was advised I would have a 45 minute wait but, the hostesses were so nice they went out of their way to find us two seats at the bar.  Normally I much prefer sitting down at a table but, beggars can’t be choosers and this turned out to be fantastic, as we were still able to order from the full menu.   DaDa-Delray

Flavor and Value

The drinks are VERY good and the food is incredibly delicious yet surprisingly well priced. My co-worker ordered the salmon dinner and I decided to be a bit daring, based on the bartenders recommendation, and settled on the seven cheese grilled cheese sandwich.  It piqued my curiosity and it was WELL worth it.  Way better than I could have ever imagined.  Seven layers of melted cheese, including Cheddar, Swiss, Sheep Feta, America, Blue, Goat and Muenstar all melted together on sour dough bread. I added a little bacon to it as well and WOW!  The flavor was outstanding.  It also came with a tomato bisque for dipping which just added to the overall taste and experience. It was so filling but I made sure to leave just enough room for dessert.

For dessert I picked up the s’mores cup. I’m a huge chocolate fan and this was just perfect. Not too much but just enough dark chocolate mixed with graham cracker crust and marshmallow meringue.  Trust me when I tell you, if you ever try this, you will not regret it.

As for cost, between the three drinks my colleague and I had, our entrees and my one desert, the bill (before tip) was under $100. Of course, as a former waiter myself, I was sure to give a generous 20% but, overall the price was very comparable to any dinner for two my wife and I would do here at home.  The food however, was way better then anything we have in Maryland.  Just my opinion.

Final Thoughts

All in all, it was a great experience and I would go back in a heartbeat. It was actually delicious and service was by far some of the best I’ve ever had.  Although I didn’t get too much into the drinks they are, without question, delicious. This place really hit the spot for me and I’m sure you’ll enjoy it as well.

Bon appetit.

Lovely article! This is my favorite restaurant! Just a small note: it’s spelled “piqued”. 😉

Kelly thank you for your feedback and glad you enjoyed the article. The place is amazing. Also thanks for pointed out the spelling error. I made the correction. Sometimes, auto correct is not a friend. LOL!
